Bioinformatics

Bioinformatics provides the Life Science community with the tools, information technologies and analytical methodologies to collect, save, analyse, combine and give value to the exploding volumes of data generated by novel multi-disciplinary research approaches such as “Omics” (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, ...).

Until recently Bioinformatics was primarily impacting the human health industry. Now bioinformatics is more and more extensively applied in domains such as Animal and Plant health but also in Seeds, Agri and Agro-food, White biotechs and chemical industries, Cosmetics, Bio-defense, Environmental and Marine sciences (Yellow and Blue biotech), Biofuels, ...
